Portable Home Bar
Movable Bar Furniture

A Portable Home Bar adds a great deal of flexibility to a spare room or empty space. Although most people would enjoy the luxury of a permanent home bar, the reality is it is not always possible. If you have limited space for a home bar, or just like to be able to move or store this piece of bar furniture, then a portable bar might be right for you.

You either might need the space for other things besides a home bar. Many spare rooms are "dual purpose" rooms and cannot serve strictly as a home bar. Sometimes these rooms are living rooms most of the time. When a party or get-together is planned, or when a big game is on TV, these rooms are often converted to home bars for the day.

A portable home bar that folds out for use or folds up for storage can really come in handy for entertaining guests. When the party is over, the bar is put away and out of the way for regular family living room activities. In other words, your room can be set up as a bar when you want it to be a bar and put it away when you don't.

Another possible benefit to having a portable home bar is that if you do any kind of outdoor entertaining or cook out, the portable bar can be moved outside onto your deck or patio, or next to your swimming pool if you have one. If it is made of materials for outdoor use, or is actually an outdoor bar, then it can just be covered and left outside until the next party or cookout.

Still another benefit to having a portable bar is being able to move it within the room to suit different activities that take place in the room. Even if you keep the bar set up full-time, it does not mean it has to sit in the same place. Or you might just need extra counter space for something.

Sometimes a room is used as a game room or a poker game is planned. Other times you and friends will just get together to watch TV and a portable bar allows you to configure the room to the kind of party or get-together you will be having.

A portable bar does have its drawbacks. If it is a wet bar you need, you can buy them in the portable variety that hook up to a water hose. But you might not want to do this in an indoor space, so this plumbing issue might leave a portable wet bar out of the question. Also, a portable bar does not usually have as much storage room for barware, glasses, or other bar supplies. These are just some of the things to be considered.

Look into a portable home bar for your space. If it's something that makes sense with your situation, then this is a relatively economical way to go for this type of bar furniture idea.
